Influential Architecture - The Parthenon

Architects: Iktonis, Kallikrates
Engineer: Phidias
Completed: 432BC
Place: Acroplis, Athens, Greece

Arguably the most influencial piece of Architecture in History, it has had a vast influence on Architects and Architectural Movements ever since, to this day its still copied in Banks, Courts and other Government Places all over the World.

There are no straight lines in the Parthenon, this idea reflects nature as everything in it is but straight. The columns have a bigger diameter at the buttom than the top which also reflects its been alive and muscular. There are also Optical Illusion elements throughout the Building which the Greeks themselves introduced. These ideas, inventions and philosophies demonstrate one of the reasons of the Greek's superiority to any other civilization.
